Meet the Writer Behind the Blog: Paloma

Aloe readers, I’m Paloma Gulick! I was born and raised in New York City and I am a rising senior at The Spence School. I've played squash since I was 13, competing in solo tournaments and also on the Spence Varsity Squash Team. I have represented my class on the Student Council every year. I love engaging with my community and leading others, with this passion I formed an Inter-School Student Council with student government representatives from other local high schools to collaborate and work together on initiatives! While at Spence, I also founded a business club for students to learn about entrepreneurship through case studies and interactive experiences. In my free time I love spending time with my friends, walking in the park, taking and developing black & white photos, and solving puzzles!

Why did you decide to work for Aloe Attiva?

When I first heard about Aloe Attiva, I was ecstatic about the possibility of an internship and chance to work with them. I started working with Aloe Attiva because of my passion for beauty, skincare, and the environment. I have always had an interest in beauty and skincare, but more recently I have become very environmentally conscious in wake of the current climate crisis. As part of the Ecological Fellowship at my school, I am constantly finding ways to live more sustainably. I was attracted to Aloe Attiva's commitment to sustainability in all parts of their products, especially the waterless focus. I also liked that Aloe Attiva is a newly launched company with immense potential!

Your Favorite Part about Working for Aloe Attiva

My favorite part of working for Aloe Attiva is definitely the team! It is such a welcoming environment where I feel comfortable to speak up and share my thoughts and suggestions. The team is so supportive, whether that be answering any questions I have or complimenting and appreciating my work! During a project in which I developed my own ad, I was a bit nervous because I had no prior experience with this, but everyone was so helpful and informative that I left that meeting feeling confident and accomplished about the work I had done. Working at Aloe Attiva is definitely the best internship I have ever had and I am so grateful for this experience!

Your Experience Using the Aloe Attiva Products

I have had an incredible experience with the Aloe Attiva products! I love trying new skincare products and seeing which ones make my skin glow, and I have truly never seen a product improve my skin like the 4x Powerlixir and 3D Powerhydrator. After a week of using them I noticed my skin got so much brighter and dewier. They have a lightweight and smooth feel that I love while applying them to my face. It leaves my skin feeling so moisturized and hydrated!
